Sharing is caring!

The rollercoaster of teens! Teens go through various circumstances that are difficult to understand for many parents. Some have been constantly battling bullies and trying their best to discover ways to boost their self-esteem. Even if one trouble is down, the struggle continues with academic stress, body shaming, anxiety, and more. This period is complex and having someone by their side can help them to keep moving. Adolescent girls and young women can benefit from having an experienced coach as a mentor, in a world which still has a predominantly patriarchal structure. The mindset of teens shifts from not having someone to talk, to waiting for coaching sessions where they can release all the pressure. Acknowledging that a qualified person will listen without any judgment, creates a secure place for them and will support them to create their future proactively.

In this decade the sector of entrepreneurship grows more and more. All kinds of people fulfill their dreams to have their own business. Now, young women are leading some of the major business industries. They have proven that anything is possible at any age and with any gender. We can maximize the result of women reaching their success and goals with Empowerment and professional Mentoring.

Antonia Reason “Toni”, Founder and executive director of Women Of Reason, INC dedicated to empowering adolescent girls and young women with proven strategies to enable them to manage future aspirations & achieve their goals.

Today she is here with us to share her story and entrepreneurial tips. In this interview, you will be able to gain exclusive information that can help enhance your life.

Hello Toni, we’re thrilled to have you on our media. Please tell us what made you leap into entrepreneurship?

I realized that working would never fairly compensate me for my talents. I worked hard and continued to climb the career ladder but never felt fulfilled. Since my early 20’s I always felt I should be running my own organization. Don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely grateful for how far I’ve come but I know God has placed the passion in me to push further.

Name 3 people in the business world who inspire you the most?

My top 3 would be Ursula Burns, Daymond John and Patrick Bet-David.

What 3 books would you recommend every entrepreneur to read?

The three that comes to mind are
How to Win Friends and Influence people” by Dale Carnegie
Blue Ocean Strategy” by W. Chan Kim & Renee Mauborgne
The E Myth” by Michele E. Gerber

How do you personally define success? What does it mean to you?

I personally define success as being able to pursue your dreams without changing who you are. I have always been a driven individual so I can admit that for many years I thrived off of success. My goal was always to get to the next best thing or position. For me success means to be in the present and to be able to leverage my time. There are only 24 hours in a day and I’m able to make the most of it. I can get everything done and still be a hands-on mother and spend quality time with my husband.

We are entering an era where everyone is interested in multiple income streams. How does one decide on a business to pursue?

Such a great question! This was a struggle for me for nearly a decade. The first step before you make a decision I would recommend seeking a mentor. Someone that you are drawn to that can provide you with guidance. Secondly, I would say try different things that you feel you are good at, then research it and see how that skill or talent you have can bring in revenue. For me it was a lot of prayer and advice from the closest people to me. They were honest and gave me great feedback. There is nothing wrong with multiple streams of income but I believe true success is mastering one. That will truly bring in your revenue. Lastly, keep trying. Never give up. God will show you your niche.
