1. Tell me a little bit about your background and how you ended up choosing your field.

Growing up I was always very insecure. I had a lot of self-believe issues, I lacked confidence, to be honest I didn’t like myself much at all. I always wanted to be someone else. I tried to mould myself to fit in with others around me and to be the person I thought they wanted me to be.

Over the years I have done a lot of work on myself. I’ve had professional help. I’ve been the seminar junkie. I’ve read the books and attended the events. I’ve invested my time, money and energy heavily in my mental and emotional health. Eventually I realised that I was not a problem that need to be fixed. I was not broken.

Actually, rather than wanting to change myself or fix myself I learned that all I needed to do was to lean into who I am MORE. Embrace myself. Connect into myself. Those parts of me that I was most ashamed of were what were the most special about me. It was a huge shift in my life and a massive realisation.

Connecting to our own inner-brilliance is simple but its not easy. The reason it is not easy is because we are programmed from a young age to be a certain way. We are taught the rules and social norms and how we are expected to fit into the world. And so we follow this path of disconnection and that grows in momentum.

I coach on how to reconnect with you and so embrace your internal strength and power and knowing the truly live your best life.

2. What is your business all about?

Right now I am in the process of writing my second book “The Game of Confidence: The Beginners Guide to Believing in Yourself”. This is where my heart and soul is at the moment and it is an extremely exciting journey! I’m a total book worm and already having a best-selling co-authored book has really propelled me forward to create this beautiful “Game” in the form of words. I’m hoping to have the book finished and released later this year if not early next year!

I also have different coaching options depending on what someone is looking for all around truly connecting to the brilliance that is YOU!

3. What made you take the leap into entrepreneurship?

Entrepreneurship is not something I was brought up in. I am from a working class family. I grew up in a regular family that had many issues. I thought business was for other people. To be frank I didn’t really think of it at all. I was a hard worker, and from the age of 16 I had multiple jobs on top of full time education.

It wasn’t until I had graduated from University and I had some personal issues that I was introduced to entrepreneurship in the guise of a travel club. This was an MLM company (which I knew nothing about) and I fell in love with the service (travel – my fav), the community of people and the self-development aspect. It was over a year before I even began to listen to what they were teaching about entrepreneurship and then followed their advice to read Rich Dad Poor Dad and my whole life changed.

Up until then my relationship with money was TOXIC. I had so many negative beliefs about money and business that I wasn’t even aware of. It was then that I did the work on myself and when I could begin a healthy journey of embracing abundance into my life and so could look with love and excitement at the entrepreneur world. I found a new passion because of that MLM and I will forever be thankful for that. A life of opportunities opened up for me. A new fork in the road appeared.

4. What are 3 tips you can share with our readers as it relates to your industry?

First of all, everything begins with you. Your foundation is EVERYTHING. Nourish your relationship with self every single day. When you feel good everything is easier. When you feel disconnected or are coming from a place of hardship everything is an uphill battle.

Secondly, often your biggest “vulnerabilities” are actually your biggest strengths. They are where your most power are. I don’t mean what tasks you might struggle with, but actually within yourself. What are you most insecure about? Go deep inside yourself. When you learn to leverage that internal power to push you forward nothing can hold you back.

Lastly, embrace community. We are communal creatures and it is a strength to lean on others. As Stephen Covey said, level one is dependance on others – that is when we are children. We then strive for level two – independence and many people stop there. However, the third level is interdependence. Find your people. Find those that celebrate you, not tolerate you. Find the circles that motivate you forward. Invest in people that inspire you to grow. “When we are not growing we are dying”. Value your growth. Value the journey. Embrace your fears and your failures. We learn by failing. Surround yourself with others that also embrace your failings.
